About the opportunity | He kupu mo matouEstablished in 1985, our Eltham Collingwood Street site in Taranaki produces over 65,000 tonnes per year of cheese products for FMCG markets domestically and internationally.
It is the largest consumer and foodservice cheese manufacturing plant in the Asia Pacific region.
Joining our Maintenance Team as an Electrical Technician, you'll be a key member of our multi-disciplined team responsible for electrical breakdown services and planned maintenance.
Focusing on health and safety and electrical maintenance best practices, you'll utilize your industrial electrical knowledge to support our production teams, fault find, and repair breakdowns confidently on automated, high-speed manufacturing, packing, and utilities equipment.
Other focus areas may include instrumentation services, PLC maintenance, motor repairs, and control loop adjustments.
This role follows a rostered shift pattern of two days, two nights, and four days off.
The key to success will be your passion for problem-solving and fault finding.
Remaining calm under pressure during unplanned breakdowns and paying excellent attention to detail are essential.
With a forward-thinking approach and results-driven mindset, you'll have opportunities to drive continuous improvement on equipment, including advanced automated technology.
Exceptional communication skills are vital for collaboration across the site.
Required skills include:
Experience in a fast-paced automated manufacturing environmentIndustrial electrical maintenance skills such as equipment repair, failure analysis, and preventative maintenanceA current New Zealand Electrical Registration with a practicing licenseComputer literacy and experience with a CMMS systemFood or dairy industry experience (beneficial)Experience with PLC automation systems and instrumentation (advantageous)There is ample scope for career progression.
