Our Kawerau Sawmill employs over 180 people and with futuregrowth plans this is an exciting time to be joining the business. Reporting to the Engineering Manager thisrole is predominately Monday to Friday with flexibility to work an occasionalweekend. You will determine and lead the planning function for 2 planer millsand timber drying Kilns area.
You’ll impress us with your make it happen attitude,tenacious approach to problem solving and natural ability to communicateeffectively with people across all levels of the business working with thetrades and engineering department to achieve results.
You will likely be
Trade Qualified
Have a broadappreciation of medium to heavy manufacturing and mechanical processes.
Have a solid amount of planning experience behind you.
Knowledge of Exceland overall systems knowledge including SAP ideally or experience withcomputer-based maintenance management systems to good use.
Familiar with scheduling shutdown work and co-ordinating tasks and labour.
This position plays a critical part in our daily planningand maintenance shutdowns and preparing and reporting against budgets withhealth and safety always at top of mind. A technical understanding of RCMprinciples, lean manufacturing and maintenance best practice and tools will bethe key to success in this position.
You will relish the chance to use your strong analyticalability and organisational skills on a daily basis and be able to jugglepriorities to manage the unexpected! You will be curious and confident to askthe right questions to build effective plans for our site to achieve.
Our Mill is in Eastern Bay of Plenty and an easy commute froma number of large towns including Whakatane, Rotorua and Tauranga. This area has it all.
