Maintenance Operative

In this position, you will undertake a mix of preventive and corrective maintenance tasks and a mix of other interesting duties that would require some training.

The role is responsible for maintenance and operations support, key tasks and responsibilities are as follows:
Maintenance of all plant equipment (Planned, Routine , Breakdown);
Mechanical works;
Fault finding and repairs to equipment.;
Monitoring of mechanical equipment;
Use of work shop equipment - operating lathe, mill/drill, welding equipment, tools;
Undertaking designated operations duties;
Monitoring of operations when tasked with this duty.

Experience:
Provide hands-on mechanical experience;
Exposure to ‘process’ industry and basic understanding of various technologies and processes is preferable;
Proven ability to establish and maintain working relationships with colleagues and contractors;
Ability to fault find on mechanical equipment;
Proven problem solving skills.

Exposure to industrial plant or commercial buildings and associated services will be a distinct advantage;
along with and Engineering or Technical background.
