Maintenance Mechanic Manufacturing

To be considered for this position, candidates must have prior experience in plastic injection molding maintenance.Forest City Technologies is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to join our team in Wellington, OH.
This position is responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of equipment in our industrial manufacturing facilities.
The ideal candidate will have a background in injection molding, industrial maintenance and experience with machine repairs, along with a strong aptitude for hydraulics and pneumatics.Responsibilities:Inspect, troubleshoot, repair and/or replace mechanical components such as motors, reducers, drive chains, hydraulic and/or pneumatic components on injection molding equipment.Plan, implement and maintain preventative maintenance program on engines, motors, pumps, pneumatic tools, hydraulics, conveyor systems and production machines in order to improve reliability.Perform routine, emergency, and preventive maintenance.Install or assist in the installation of new equipment, including proper layout and alignment.Make preventative maintenance checks and inspections as required.Evaluate equipment malfunctions with a sense of urgency to minimize downtime.Install, replace, or change machine parts and attachments, according to production specifications.Modify equipment as necessary to improve safety, quality, productivity and reliability.Communicate professionally with plant personnel as to the important repair steps taken, parts ordered, and estimated time to complete the repairs or projects.Assemble, install, and maintain mechanical systems, machinery, and equipment.Qualifications:High school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED).3+ years of experience in an injection molding machine position (required).Mechanical capability to repair and/or analyze production equipment.Ability to read, interpret and understand blueprints, manuals and assembly directions.Proficient communication skills – particularly, the ability to explain complex mechanical issues.Must be able to perform physically demanding work, such as climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, twisting and bending for extended periods of time.Reliable, dependable, and self-motivated.Skills:Five (5) years Industrial Maintenance experience or Journeyman level mechanic.Experience with pumps (diaphragm and centrifugal), drives: gearbox, belts, chain, hydraulic, couplings, motor-air, bearings, shafts, nuts, bolts, taps, and dies.Knowledge with process control transmitters and safety switches.Experience with an air compressor system - including filters, regulators, dryers, and lubricators.We offer a competitive wage, based on skills, knowledge, experience and qualifications.Qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to their protected veteran status.Company Description: FCT is a diversified manufacturer and service provider to the automotive, industrial transportation & machinery, aerospace, electrical & optical, and consumer goods markets.
