Our facilities, plant and equipment are vital and it will be you who ensures robust plans are in place for their maintenance and development.
You will manage budgets; deliver on immediate demands whilst ensuring strategic objectives are met. The role is a broad one including the planning, design and renovation of buildings, plant and equipment ensuring their efficient operation and code compliance while directing our general maintenance systems and staff.
You'll be ultimately responsible for the District Health Board's 24/7 infrastructure across multiple sites including buildings, grounds, energy systems, equipment (e.g. refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, lifts, medical equipment) and more. Could you bring it all together; dealing with real time issues while steadfastly planning for the future?
Managing a busy maintenance schedule, future projects and a small team of staff and contractors requires superb organisational and interpersonal skills.
All candidates must have a relevant trade and/or engineering qualification. Extensive experience in facilities and/or maintenance management being essential, as is the ability to establish credibility dealing with people from an array of disciplines. Experience in the health sector would be advantageous but we recognise the benefit in a fresh perspective too.
