Our team sees every aspect of the hospitality industry, gaining a unique experience that develops their careers and can be transferred when they are ready for the next adventure.Our Maintenance team is essential in ensuring guests have a comfortable room to return to after a day of exploring the outdoor environment or relaxing in this peaceful, beautiful part of the world.We are seeking Maintenance team members to help maintain our 250 guest rooms in the Hermitage complex, along with 150 staff accommodation rooms, the support building, and grounds.
This role is varied, fast-paced, and conducted with a fun, enthusiastic team in an environment like no other.What you will be doingPerforming general maintenance tasks across hotel rooms, motels, lodge, and staff accommodation.Carpentry, painting, basic plumbing, and mechanical repairs.Operating and maintaining tools and machinery as per SOPs.Planning and prioritizing jobs to meet deadlines.Maintaining high standards of health, safety, and hygiene.Carrying out other maintenance duties as assigned.What you will bring to the roleRelevant trade skills, preferably in building trades.Experience in property maintenance is preferred.An affinity for the outdoors and adaptability to remote living.A confident, safe driver with a full clean NZ Driver's license or international equivalent.A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.Friendly, outgoing, professional, with excellent communication skills.Flexible, adaptable, and able to prioritize tasks.A strong desire for excellence.The role and benefitsFull-time, permanent position, minimum 60 hours per fortnight.
