We have an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Hammerhand/Carpenter to join our professional team based in Gisborne.
Within the breadth of work we cover, we deal with the construction and maintenance of many concrete structures including bridges, retaining walls (both augured and driven timber pole and steel section walls), culverts, pipelines, iconic civil amenities, lookouts and decks.

About the role:As our carpenter you will be expected to work ?hands-on? and will have experience in a variety of carpentry and joinery civil related projects. The role also require a high standard of personal presentation and workmanship together with strong customer service skills. You will also:
Involved in repairing slips with bench and fill applications
Be completing concrete repairs i.e. anything from minor spalling, crack filling and cutting to curb and channel installation (both cast insitu and precast). This would include you carrying out the mixing, quality placing and finishing.
Plan, organise and control activities or installations i.e. balustrade and fencing as both part of a crew and individually assigned tasks.
Ensure all work is completed to the satisfaction of customers and targets (productivity, quality and safety) are met.
About you:You?ll need to have a Trade certificate in Carpentry and Joinery or have at minimum of 3 years carpentry and joinery experience. You will also have a:
Traffic Controller level 1 certificate
Working at heights certificate (with harness experience)
Construct Safe Certification
Good grasp of Health and Safety compliance
Hold a full, clean NZ class 1 drivers licence (can drive manual vehicle) or equivalent
Good level of physical ability
