Maintenance Electrician

Our New Zealand wide food processing group, is currently seeking a passionate Maintenance Electrician with a proven history of effective planned and preventative maintenance experience to join their team based out of Balclutha, Otago. Reporting to the Electrical Supervisor, you will undertake day-to-day maintenance excellence with a focus on minimising downtime, maximising efficiency; and implementing positive team culture from the ground up.
Due to continued internal growth and development, this position is imperative for ensuring the sound operation of all electrical installations and maintenance of plant equipment. Successful candidates will ideally have previous experience with FMCG processing; and be willing to learn and upskill utilising internal pathways up. You will have a keen eye for fault finding and understand the sense of urgency in regards to production breakdowns. Experience with PLC, SCADA, VSD’s and automation systems would be advantageous but training will be offered to the right candidate.
You will have a predominantly Monday-Friday roster but will need to have flexibility to work afternoon shift when there is production overflow. You will be rewarded with a fantastic hourly rate + OT + Employee Benefits Package.
Please note, candidates with a Limited License or no EWRB registration will not be considered.
To be successful in this role, you will have the following:
•A full, practicing EWRB license
•Able to demonstrate an understanding of Health & Safety; as well as quality and compliance standards
•Drive and passion for maintenance engineering as well as a proven history with breakdown response urgency and a solid work ethic
•Great communication skills and tidy personal presentation
