Lunch Time Supervisor - Birkdale - Casual

We are looking for a warm and patient person to supervise 2 small classes of gifted children over their lunch break in our classroom located in Birkdale. This would really suit someone with an interest in education or childcare.
You are required for lunch hours every TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY from 12.30pm - 1.30pm during primary school terms throughout the year, starting 12 February 2019.Tasks and duties:
This role essentially involves looking after and hanging out with a group of up to 16 children over their lunch hour. This may include:
Making sure children have time to sit, eat lunch, drink and go to the toilet Taking children outside for a play, organising and supervising an outdoor game or two Suggesting and supervising inside games (like board games, we have games available) Supporting children's social interactions (being positive, calm and kind) Using your initiative to do things like general tidying and helping out Helping the teacher set up for the afternoon (which might include doing the dishes, sorting out books etc) Being the first port of call for children's questions and conversations as our teacher takes her lunch break
You need to be calm, positive and supportive, and keen to work with children. You will need a police check prior to starting, which we will send you the forms for.
