Auckland City, AucklandFull-time, ApprenticeshipWe are a busy construction company including commercial,residential and interior, We are looking for an apprentice carpenter with some experience to help and assist a carpenter or a group of carpenters with their tasks.This is a great opportunity to be part of a very successful construction company with a multi-cultural atmosphere and who are big on career development.Some of the successful candidates duties include: Helping to construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures of wood, plywood, metal studs, and drywall using hand tools and power toolsHelping to install walls, floors, ceilings, and roofs for residential and light commercial buildingsAssisting with fitting and installation of window frames, doors, door frames, door hardware, interior and exterior trimPositioning and holding timbers, or paneling in place for fastening or cuttingHolding plumb bobs, sighting rods, or other equipment to aid in establishing reference points and linesSmoothing or sanding surfaces to remove tool marks, glue, or caulkingSelecting tools, equipment, and/or materials from storage and transport items to siteCleaning work areas, machines, or equipment, to maintain a clean and safe job siteApproximate pay range from $19 to $22 hourly depending on your experience.Applicants for this position should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.
