About the opportunity:

A sole charge position within our client's civil construction sector has opened up. Role description:

You will be in charge of our client's West Auckland yard, looking after raw materials including hazardous goods, tools and equipment, PPE, maintenance of the vehicle fleet and assisting project managers and foremen with purchasing and supply of materials to sites across Auckland.
Responsibilities will include:

Ensure fleet vehicles are ready for use
Receive products and coordinate delivery
Monitor inventory and maintain at optimal levels
Manage procurement to make sure deadlines are met
Maintain equipment including electrical test and tag, calibration, harness certification and that returned tools are undamaged and damaged tools are sent for appropriate repair
Ensure all yard and storage areas are maintained in a neat and tidy fashion
Liaising with suppliers
The following is essential to be successful in the role:

Good written and verbal communication skills
Excellent numeracy and computer skills, particularly excel
New Zealand drivers licence is essential
Knowledge of health and safety standards within New Zealand
Able to handle the physical demands of the role as heavy lifting is involved
Applicants must be a New Zealand resident or a holder of an un-restricted work permit
