Description About the Team The role will sit within the Dispute Resolution team. This team is currently made up of four experienced lawyers, specialising in civil and commercial litigation, and employment law. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting Partners Tyler Brown and Melissa Borcoski on civil and commercial disputes, and will have the opportunity to assist on some employment disputes from time to time. The Dispute Resolution team has a varied practice, dealing with matters such as commercial disputes, property disputes, trusts and estates, insurance litigation, negligence, construction, debt recovery, contractual and employment disputes. The team provides internal support to Saunders Robinson Brown's other teams, as well taking direct instructions from clients and working with barristers. About the Role This is an excellent opportunity for a solicitor with 1+ years of post-qualification experience to join a motivated and collaborative team. The role is full-time and permanent and will be based in the modern, riverside offices in the Christchurch CBD. SRB are flexible in terms of a start date early 2024. You will work across a variety of matters, including but not limited to: Contractual disputes Construction disputes Insolvency and debt recovery Trust and estate disputes Insurance disputes Employment disputes About You You will have 1+ years of experience in litigation / dispute resolution, good analytical skills, accuracy, and excellent time management.
