Lifting Equipment/ Wire Rope Technician

Established in 1978, our client is one of New Zealand’s largest privately owned, independent suppliers, manufacturers and distributors of Lifting, Rigging and Height Safety products. They are now looking for a workshop based technician to help assemble and provide general assistance with the products, such as tagging, rigging, coiling, reeling, repairs and inspection.
Whilst prior experience with these types of products is highly preferred, we will consider applicants who good experience in a hands-on role. Our client’s customers are based in construction, forestry, marine and craneage, so exposure to these industries, as well as familiarity and an interest in any rope/ chain driven mechanisms and gears would be ideal.
Due to the safety-sensitive nature of the products in question, attention to detail will be a must-have attribute. Forklift certificate and prior training in first aid and health and safety would be a bonus.
