The Waipa District is a key location for future investment, growth and development, having recently been categorised as one of the high growth regions of New Zealand. As you can imagine, that means we're really upping the ante when it comes to the services we provide our communities, and putting a big focus on shared spaces like parks, playgrounds, cycle ways, libraries and museums.
We are looking for part timeLibrary Assistantsto join our teams at our Cambridge and Te Awamutu libraries. Our Library Assistants are responsible for a broad range of library functions, including circulation duties, assisting with customer enquiries and research, and contributing to the planning and delivery of community outreach programmes. Excellent communication skills, a sense of humour, a genuine desire to help, and outstanding customer service skills are a must. Library experience is a bonus, but passion and a fantastic attitude are key!
We have some flexibility around days and hours the successful candidates could work, but it is important to note that all our staff work some rostered late nights on Wednesdays and Fridays, and some short Saturdays. Please let us know in your application your preferred location, number of hours you would like to work per week, and the days and times you are available.
