The team is tight-knit and the staff culture is unbeatable.Due to growth, they now have the need for a Legal Executive to join the team.
They're looking for a Legal Executive with conveyancing expertise to join the legal and settlements team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for drafting and reviewing mortgage documentation, facilitating settlements, managing stakeholder communications, and ensuring compliance with pre and post-settlement requirements.Key responsibilities:Draft, review, and finalize mortgage and security documents in accordance with regulatory and company requirements.Coordinate and facilitate the loan settlement process, ensuring all pre-settlement conditions are met, including AML/CFT requirements.Liaise with solicitors, borrowers, brokers, LOMS (loan origination managers), and other stakeholders to ensure a smooth settlement experience.Conduct due diligence on property securities, title searches, and related matters.Attend to post-registration tasks, including lodging and tracking mortgage registrations and discharges.Legal & Loan Administration:Assist the Senior Manager Credit & Recoveries with post-registration loan management tasks, including enforcement of security interests and recovery processes.Support the Senior Lending Manager with administrative duties, reporting, and compliance-related tasks.Maintain and manage the Personal Property Securities Register (PPSR), ensuring all securities are correctly registered, updated, and discharged as required.Oversee and maintain accurate broker and aggregator information, ensuring compliance with company policies.The ideal candidate:Experience in conveyancing, settlements, and mortgage documentation (preferably within a non-bank lending, finance, or legal environment).Strong understanding of property law, lending practices, and regulatory requirements.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks.Experience with PPSR registrations and loan recoveries is preferred, but not necessary.Proficiency in legal and financial software systems.NZ residency or citizenship due to this being a permanent role.If you're looking to work for a company that has big growth plans, and you're looking for your next big opportunity, this could be it!
