This is a key goal in Aotearoa New Zealand to reduce health inequalities. The Department also teaches undergraduate medical students in their clinical years (years 4-6) and also offers a variety of postgraduate programmes in public health. Research students are supervised for Masters and PhD degrees.The roleWe are seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Population Health to join our Christchurch campus. This is a full-time, permanent (confirmation path) position. In this role you will be required to:
Teach undergraduate and postgraduate students;
Participate in research studies and contribute to the development of new research projects;
Supervise research for Masters and PhD students; and
Be actively engaged with the University and participate in various committees.
Your skills and experience
Qualifications should include a PhD as well as a Postgraduate Diploma and Masters in Public Health.
Broad Public Health expertise.
Demonstrated teaching experience.
Experience in epidemiology or health economics preferred.
An established research area with evidence of research funding.
A publication record commensurate with the position.
Experience in supervising Masters and PhD students.
