What you will do
This position, based at Trentham Military Camp, is varied, exciting, challenging and stimulating.
The role predominately analyses and designs face to face courses that are technically robust and engaging, which deliver a high quality learning experience to our Defence Force.
Our Learning Designers analyse the learning needs for new and existing capabilities, design courses and aid in the development of content to provide for new or major change requests. Learning Solutions cover a wide spectrum of subject matter, anything from a short Sea Survival course to an Explosive Ordnance Disposal course, from Driver Training to Aero-Medical Evacuation. Subject Matter Experts are ready to work with you.
What we need
We need someone with subject matter expertise to deliver advice based on sound knowledge of learning theories, curriculum design, analysis interpretation and educational evaluation. We also need you to have proven design skills related to instructional and educational aspects of technical training. Experience in solving training issues, particularly in adult learning will be put to good use.
Experience in use of innovative, alternative, instructional methods and media, such as e-learning, web-based and distance learning delivery systems would be advantageous.
The ability to build and maintain robust working relationships with stakeholders is key in this role as you manage, analyse and dissect complex information effectively breaking it down into workable learning solutions. The work is project based so you will take ownership for the whole lifecycle of the learning design process.
You will be joining a collaborative, participative and diverse team who are passionate about the work they do. There will be a focus on your own professional development by a transparent and supportive manager.
