We have an exciting full-time opportunity for an experienced and motivated Learning and Development Advisor to join our Human Resources team (based in Christchurch). PGG Wrightson is a nationwide agricultural services business with over 1800 team members.
Reporting to the Group HR Manager, you will take responsibility for driving the implementation of our refreshed capability strategy and framework, building on this strategy in response to business needs. This role will support business unit led Learning and Development initiatives but will focus predominantly on group wide activity. This includes building capability in Leadership, sales skills, health and safety, induction and behavioural competency change.
The successful candidate will achieve the organisation's objectives through a variety of channels such as direct facilitation of off job programs, managing external contractors to deliver courses, managing our on-line learning content and partnering with Leaders to support with an on-job learning toolbox.
To contribute to the success of both individuals and teams you will provide advice, support and guidance on training and development initiatives. To partner effectively, you must build credibility through delivery of services and by building relationships. This role will form part of our close-knit HR Business partnering team and will be a strong contributor to our people strategies. The position is supported by two generalist HR Coordinators (with Learning and Development accountabilities as a part of their roles). It is an expectation that the successful candidate will support with coaching and mentoring in facilitation skills.
The ideal candidate will have:
Proven experience and capability to effectively carryout learning needs analysis, programme design, facilitation, coaching and evaluation (especially in the area of leadership development)
Excellent relationship building skills and the ability to create strong partnerships across the business
A competent user of E-Learning software for capability learning and reporting (Previous experience with ELMO software not required but would be advantageous)
A willingness to travel and engage across nationwide sites from corporate offices to Livestock saleyards as required
A relevant tertiary qualification in Adult Learning, HR or Organisational Development
Strong level of computer literacy; experienced using MS Office & databases.
