The Opportunity:
We\'ve been working hard over the last few years to develop relationships and deliver quality projects far and wide across Tasmania. Due to the recent award of the Midway Point Intersection Solution project, we\'re looking to add a Leading Hand/Foreman to our growing Tasmania Construction team.
The project will involve the construction of an intricate shotcrete wall, including extensive soil nailing, as well as the upgrade of all in-ground services including stormwater, sewer, water as well as full reconstruction of the new road alignment and signalling.
We\'re looking for a leader who will support and motivate our site teams ? ensuring the focus remains on safety, quality, cost and schedule in the planning and execution of the work.
Responsibilities:
Performing works safely, efficiently and to a high quality under the direction of a Foreman/Supervisor;
Supervising subcontract packages and ensuring compliance with defined scope;
Monitoring and achieving daily productivity targets;
Coordinating with engineering teams to understand and maintain short term programs;
Accurately recording daily activities and resources to assist in identifying potential claims (variations/EOT) and productivity costings;
Ensuring crew members are following all company procedures and policies
Reporting incidents, non-conformances and near misses and participating in incident investigations.
About You :
3+ years? experience in a similar role, ideally working on civil infrastructure projects;
A strong commitment to workplace safety, quality, respect of others and to work as part of a team;
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work efficiently and to deadlines - including night shifts and overtime when required.
