The Role We are looking for a Lead Software Engineer to join our rapidly growing team and help deliver solutions that make the world a better place. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: Lead a team of up to 8 software and QA engineers who share your passion and drive, with a focus on fostering an inclusive and supportive environment. Collaborate with architecture and product to provide innovative cloud solutions that help our organisation deliver value to our customers. Advise and support team members in their career growth and development goals. Participate in code reviews, pair-programming, automation, and other activities to promote mastery of software engineering best practices. Optimise and allocate feature development and quality assurance work within the pod. Provide creative and professional products aimed specifically to each customer. In order to be successful in this role, you should have: Bachelor's Degree in computer science, engineering or equivalent 5+ years of professional experience in designing and developing scalable, testable APIs. 1+ year leading an agile software development team. Experience leveraging fundamental design principles and patterns behind scalable, microservice architecture. Experience developing services in Kubernetes, or working with cloud providers like Azure and AWS Experience with CI/CD Pipelines (i.e. GitHub, Gitlab, etc.) Well versed on best practices related to coding and API Design Technology we utilise: Python – FastAPI, PyArrow Github Actions Research shows that some individuals, particularly women and underrepresented groups, are less likely to apply for jobs unless they meet every single criterion.
