This senior-level position represents excellence in both technical and project domains and is ideal for someone who thrives on innovation, collaboration, and leading others to achieve.As a Lead RF Design Engineer, you'll apply sound judgment, deep technical expertise, and leadership to inspire your peers and support the development of high-performance solutions.
You will mentor others, review complex systems and designs, and contribute thought leadership within and beyond your discipline.Our Lead RF Design Engineer opportunity will attract an annual base salary range of $120,000 to $150,000 per annum, and will be full-time, 40 hours per week based in Christchurch, New Zealand.The Duties Of The Role Will IncludeLeading technical design efforts and providing innovation across a wide range of engineering activities.Supporting and mentoring engineers, driving skill development, and sharing best practices.Planning and executing engineering activities including requirements capture, analysis, modelling, implementation, testing, and debugging.Reviewing and critiquing designs, leading peer reviews, and ensuring high quality and accuracy.Evaluating and integrating new technologies into current and future projects.Representing Tait in technical forums and discussions.Documenting and planning to agreed standards and managing technical risks effectively.Sizing, costing, and negotiating project phases and technical requirements.O Pukenga - About YouTo be successful in this role, you will have a Bachelor, Postgraduate, or other appropriate tertiary level NZQA approved qualification in Engineering or Electrical EngineeringYou Will Also DemonstrateProven mastery in engineering design and delivery across the full product lifecycle.Competence as a technical leader, with experience mentoring and developing others (may include formal line management of a small design team).Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in complex system environments.High productivity and quality standards, with the ability to work autonomously.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.Highly competent in more than one RF circuit level design discipline.Highly competent in the system design of LMR/Broadband communications radio products.Experience in RF IC design would be highly desirable.Nga painga - What's in it for you?We are an employer committed to making a difference for families and communities and supporting people to build rewarding careers.
