The role | Mo te tunga
Reporting to the Senior Manager Customer Experience, you ll be instrumental in helping connect New Zealanders to data, enabling them gain maximum value from all that we produce. You will take a lead role in the development of the strategy, design and implementation of Stats NZ s approach to sharing and publishing data, statistics and other information. Your role will initially focus on ensuring data and statistics are made available at the right time and in the right way.
You will need to be a strategic thinker who can make connections between government strategies, international trends, and Stats NZ s own operational requirements and role as a leader in the data system. You will be comfortable working with a wide range of people, providing effective coaching and thought leadership to lift strategic capability across the business unit.
You will need to develop compelling arguments for innovation and improvements, and you will produce proposals and plans that are put forward for investment decisions. You may be responsible for leading work that flows from approved business cases or relevant strategies, and you also may be responsible for engaging others to lead work.
Working in the Customer Experience team, it is important that you bring a customer-centric approach to your work and demonstrate this in all you do.
Salary range $85,000 - $100,000 negotiable depending on the experience of the successful candidate.
About you | Mou
You should have significant experience developing and implementing organisation wide strategies that produce demonstrable benefits. This should be combined with strong experience in leading initiatives and projects, preferably in a customer-centric environment
You will be strongly advantaged if you have experience in the dissemination of data and information, or equivalent strategies that deal with sharing and publishing information
Your well-developed critical thinking and ability to think strategically will be utilised heavily, particularly your ability to analyse information, develop options and exercise sound judgement
