This role provides expert knowledge in national curriculum design.This role supports the development of complex national curriculum designs to enhance student progress and achievement.
It offers leadership and guidance on knowledge-rich curricula grounded in the Science of Learning.Salary range: $99,496 - $120,690 per annum + 3% KiwiSaver.
The successful candidate will be appointed at a salary reflecting their skills and experience.For more details about the role, view the job description here.About you | Mohou akeWe seek a Lead Adviser with the following capabilities:Understanding of The New Zealand Curriculum, Te Marautanga o Aotearoa, and Te Whariki, including approaches to curriculum and assessment development and design.Knowledge and leadership experience in designing knowledge-rich curricula and applying the Science of Learning to support quality educational outcomes.Stakeholder relationship management skills across education and government sectors, including involvement in cross-government initiatives.Ability to work flexibly in a dynamic environment.Understanding of curriculum integration.Leadership skills in designing change frameworks and managing initiatives to ensure quality outcomes for all learners.Strong analytical skills for developing complex analysis, business cases, and advice.Excellent ministerial writing and verbal communication skills.Additional qualities include:Experience in complex organizations.Leadership experience in problem-solving and task completion.Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and practically.Understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi's role in education.Appreciation of identity, language, and culture's importance.Commitment to Public Service Standards of Integrity and Conduct.About our group and team | Matau ropu akeTe Poutahu leads the development of national curricula for Aotearoa New Zealand, including assessment and evaluation systems.We design curriculum services for teachers, kaiako, leaders, akonga, whanau, and communities, reflecting their identities, languages, and cultures.
