Hastings Central, Hawkes BayThe Landscape Construction Site Foreman / Team Leader is a critical role in the successful completion of our landscaping projects. This position requires a high level of technical knowledge, strong leadership skills, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. If you have a passion for landscaping and are looking for an exciting and challenging role, then this may be the perfect opportunity for you.Key responsibilities include:Supervise and lead a team of landscape construction workers, provide direction, instruction, onsite training, and support as needed.Conduct weekly site inspections and Toolbox team meetings.Collaborate with Project Manager / Operations Manager to understand project scope, timelines, and client expectations.Oversee detailed work plans and schedules are followed and assigned tasks to crew members.Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.Ensure safety regulations and guidelines are being met by crew members to prevent accidents, and injuries and to comply with the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015.Ensure appropriate forms are completed by crew members when an accident/incident/near miss and/or damaged property occurs.Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work environment, including proper storage of tools and equipment.Select appropriate plants, materials, and other elements for the design.Oversee the construction of hardscape features such as walkways, patios, retaining walls, grading, excavation, planting, irrigation, and all other components.Provide hands-on guidance and assistance to crew members, demonstrating proper techniques and best practices.Ensure that all work meets design specifications, building codes, and industry standards and meets a high standard of quality and that the clients are satisfied with the completed project.Serve as the primary point of contact for clients during construction, addressing any questions, concerns, or change requests.Motivate and inspire team members to perform at their best, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.Lead by example, demonstrating professionalism, integrity, and a strong work ethic at all times.Requirements:Minimum of 5 years of experience in Landscape Construction is essential.Knowledge of hard landscape techniques, equipment, materials, council requirements and building codes.Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team of landscapers.Ability to read, interpret and follow landscape plans and specifications.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with project managers, designers, clients, and team membersKnowledge of safety procedures and regulations related to landscaping workAbility to operate and maintain landscaping equipmentA good level of physical fitnessA passion for working outdoors, all year roundYour application will include the following questions: Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in New Zealand?How many years' experience do you have as a Construction Site Foreperson?Do you have a current New Zealand driver's licence?How many years of people management experience do you have?How much notice are you required to give your current employer?Report this job advert Don't provide your bank or credit card details when applying for jobs.#J-18808-Ljbffr
