You will be a part of the Landscape Architecture team here at the Council that are responsible for the design and construction of public parks and reserves, playgrounds, waterways and constructed wetlands, ecological areas and other public spaces. They also contribute to the planning and design of roads, cycle ways, walkways and other infrastructure facilities. In addition you will play a significant part in inspecting and approving new private subdivision landscape proposals, and providing landscape related advice to subdivision developers.Responsibilities include;You will have responsibility for city-wide projects where your knowledge will be implicit in solving problems and generating ideas, from conceptual design through to implementation.Giving advice on landscape assessment matters to influence Council projects, as well as assisting the Council resource consent planners.Receiving, inspecting and approving subdivision landscape and street tree plans.
