We have a fantastic new opportunity for the Chemistry Laboratory Technician to be part of our fun-loving and dynamic Quality and Food Safety team.Reporting to the Chemistry Team Leader, you will be part of the Laboratory team.
The role will focus on achieving Danone Nutricia SN Quality & Food Safety objectives by providing accurate results on time for the release of products.
You will work according to prescribed standards as well as making recommendations for continuous improvement.This is full time position, working Sunday – Thursday, 10:00am-6:30pm, 40 hours per week.Your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):Adhere to published methods and procedures as per ISO17025:2017.Carry out assigned testing as per approved methods.Support any investigation related to laboratory non-Conformance.Support verification of chemical and physical test methods.Operate laboratory equipment according to equipment manuals and related Laboratory SOP.Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment.Keep stock of laboratory materials for testing and projects.Prepare chemicals and reagents required for testing.About YouYou are an experienced professional who thrives on cross-functional collaboration and excels with an inclusive working style.
You will have aBSc, Diploma or Certificate in the relevant field of operation.
You enjoy a mixture of physical work and working with equipment and administrative tasks.
You will show great initiative to learn new skills while supporting the team.To be successful in this role, you will have:Minimum 1 year in an ISO 17025 Chemistry laboratory is preferable or be a new graduate with relevant educational background and skills.A good understanding of basic chemistry, biology and physics principles.Understanding of requirements for chemistry testing of infant formula.Working knowledge of GLP, GDP, GMP and GHPComputer skills (Microsoft Office Suite) and ability to learn and adapt to new software tools.
