The role
You will be a dedicated Laboratory Administrative Assistant in the world leading New Zealand Geothermal Analytical Laboratory (NZGAL) supporting the services provided to external and internal clients utilising our laboratory. This is a key role in coordinating the team to deliver on client needs, achieve compliance and other administrative requirements.

Responsibilities
This is a busy role that will be responsible for a varied scope of tasks:
* Preparing quotes and answering client queries
* Invoicing clients and liaising with Finance
* Preparing monthly reconciliations and statistics
* Booking in samples into the Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS)
* Preparing client analytical report for checking and final report delivery to clients
* Laboratory filing and other general administrative duties


About you
The ideal candidate will have 5 years' experience in an administrator role and a strong background with the MS Office suite, finance, database, and general administrative experience. You will also have the:
* Ability to work to strict procedures in an ISO 17025 accredited laboratory
* Meticulous attention to detail, including clear and accurate record keeping
* Effective communication and computer skills
* Experience with a Laboratory Information Management System. (Experience using Crystal Reports or Microsoft SSRS Report Builder would be an advantage)
* Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work well in a team
* Ability to relate to clients and support the laboratory's customer centric culture

This is a permanent, full time (38 hours per week) employment role and is based at our campus in Wairakei, Taupo.

The salary range for this position is between $61,380 to $68,200 per annum depending on the successful candidate's experience.
