About the opportunity
This exciting hands-on role based around the Taranaki region will be spent on the road carrying out the removal, installation, preventative repairs and maintenance of our On-Farm Assets.
You will be out and about visiting our farms with a focus on milk collection compliance, repairs and maintenance of our on-farm storage and assets, reporting, and building rapport and relationships with our farmers.
Extensive training will be provided in all aspects of the role but in particular Health & Safety, Working at Heights & Confined Spaces, Team Engagement, Asset Care & Preventative Maintenance, Bridge Inspection & Maintenance Procedures.
About You
We are looking for a strong decision maker with excellent time management and planning skills that will enjoy the challenge and autonomy this role affords, within a supportive team environment. Your natural problem solving, and analytical mindset will help you to thrive in this position.
While a background in maintenance, basic mechanical aptitude and dairy industry experience is important, having the right people skills and attitude will be essential to your success. You will be renowned as a good communicator who easily develops sound relationships with your key stakeholders.
Key skills and experience include:
• Basic mechanical or light engineering aptitude
• Competent user of Microsoft Office Suite
• Class 4 or 5 drivers licence is advantageous
• Experience using a HIAB also advantageous
