We have an excellent opportunity for someone with training experience to take on this role of responsibility and accountability, and to provide efficient and effective knife handling training across our departments.
The position involves:

Tutoring knife sharpening and knife safety skills
Recording of all tutoring and testing results
Monitoring of current and new knife hands
Providing feedback to management
Provide assistance with other tasks, including inductions and training assessments.

Applicants will need to:
Be a skilled knife handler/tutor (with evidence of this experience)
Good communication skills
Proven people skills
Ability to embrace new learning
Be honest & reliable
Able to self-manage
Be flexible and versatile
Good basic Excel and Word computer knowledge.

This position provides cover for day shift and also night shift during peak season processing and is covered by a seasonal hourly rate Employment Agreement.
The role of Knife Trainer is to provide excellent knife handling and sharpening techniques in order to reduce strains and sprains associated with incorrect knife use. The role is vital to our on-going health and safety focus. Remuneration and conditions of employment will be discussed as part of the interview process.
