We are super busy and getting busier - it is an exciting time here at Eat My Lunch! Eat My Lunch Wellington has been operating since October 2016 and we are looking for a special person to take over the helm and continue the fantastic work that our current Manager has achieved.
This is a multifaceted role where no two days are the same.
We are offering the right person an opportunity to join us to work alongside our current manager and get to know the team and the role thoroughly.
Responsibilities:
Ensure that Eat My lunch lunches are prepared in line with menu requirements
Ensure that Eat My Lunch lunches are prepared within the time restrictions we work to every day
Tasting of all meals prepared to ensure they are of the best quality possible. We want our customers to be blown away every time!
Ensure correct ingredients are used for different dietary types
Ensure all Food Control Plan guidelines and requirements are followed at all times and enforced within the kitchen environment
Reviewing the final meals prepared visibility to ensure they meet Eat My Lunches presentation standards
Have experience of working with Rationale ovens with knowledge of how the technology works for protein cooking requirements
Be able to execute last minute changes to menu items with in calm efficient manner
Coordinate crating and dispatch of all lunches
Managing the Eat My Lunch volunteers who sign up to help make our Give lunches
Delegate tasks to the team in alignment with their skills and training.
Skills & Experience:
Minimum of two years managing a busy commercial kitchen
Knowledge of the council’s Food Control Plan
Health & Safety knowledge – First Aid Certificate a bonus
Knowledge of dietary types is essential along with the knowledge of what foods are appropriate for each
The ability to work within a team of diverse people

We work in a cool industrial space in Mt Cook, based out of Café L’affares dispatch and roastery. We have great coffee, music and a lot of laughs!
Over time we have cultivated a special community of volunteers, most of whom attend regularly to make ‘give lunches’ for our schools.
Hours are approximately 5am – 2pm Monday to Friday however as Captain you must be prepared to go above and beyond.
Rate negotiable based on experience. - SALARY + CAR
