Expected Hours: Minimum of 20 per week
Work Schedule: Rotating roster
Work Location: On-site / In-person

About the Role:

We are looking for a reliable, hardworking, and team-oriented Kitchen Hand to join our busy and passionate team at Number 8 Wire. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys a fast-paced kitchen environment and wants to grow their skills in a supportive workplace.

Key Responsibilities:

* Assist chefs with basic food preparation and plating.
* Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas including benches, sinks, floors, and equipment.
* Operate the dishwasher and ensure all crockery, cutlery, and kitchen tools are cleaned and sanitized.
* Unpack and store deliveries following food safety standards.
* Assist in rubbish disposal and recycling management.
* Support with stock rotation and kitchen organization.
* Follow health and safety protocols at all times.
* Help with any other kitchen-related tasks as directed by the chefs or kitchen supervisor.

Skills & Requirements:

* Good communication and time management skills.
* Physically fit and able to handle long shifts on your feet.
* Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
* Able to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
* Previous experience as a kitchen hand or in hospitality is a bonus, but not essential.
* Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
