We are seeking applications from qualified, registered counsellors especially those with an understanding of trauma informed practice and experience working in the field of Sexual Harm support.The role will be as part of a team that provides services in both Hastings and Napier. We offer confidential counselling and support for:Physical, emotional and/or sexual abuseTrauma due to life-threatening events such as illness, accidents and/or abuseCoping with the recovery of sexual abuse/trauma, PTS and PTSDSurvivors of rape and sexual abuseAdvocacy and support when reporting to Police, court processes, seeking legal and/or medical adviceCommitment to cultural and Kaupapa Maori valuesResources and informationThe Kaiwhakamarie/Counsellor will provide a safe, supportive environment for each whaiora/client utilising their professional knowledge and skills to assist people who have experienced recent and/or historic sexual harm to work towards recovery.
