We are looking for just the right person to join our team. Are you passionate about tamariki and their educational success? Are you an experienced early years facilitator or educator? Do you relish supporting kaiako and tamariki to enable them to achieve great outcomes in early education?
Tatai Angitu is a business unit situated within the Institute of Education at Massey University (Palmerston North). Our core business is Professional Learning and Development (PLD).

Tatai Angitu delivers PLD across the pipeline of a child’s education pathway, including Early Childhood Centres, Primary and Secondary Schools. Our facilitators embrace a core set of values that underpin our work delivering tailored PLD across the system that aligns with Te Whariki, the New Zealand Curriculum and Te Marautanga.
We employ a diverse range of facilitators with specific expertise in delivering PLD that is responsive to different social and cultural contexts who specialise in Te Ao Maori and Pacific world views.
We are in the business of supporting great teachers and leaders to drive excellence and equity across the education system.
Are you an experienced early years PLD or Early Learning senior teacher looking for your next challenge?
We are looking for a professional with strong knowledge of Te Whariki, experienced in coaching and mentoring leaders, Maori and/or Pasifika cultural intelligence and local curriculum implementation.
You may be suited to this role if you currently support staff with advice and guidance, and you bring a learning mindset to the role.
You would be supported to thrive in a team environment with opportunity to collaborate with like-minded professionals. This is a challenging role that requires knowledge of adult learning methodologies.
Travel across a variety of geographical locations with some travel to Palmerston North for team development days and meetings is required.
The role is a 12-month, full-time (37.5 hours per week) fixed-term position.
