Raukura Hauora O Tainui is an iwi Charitable Trust founded in 1994 on the aspirations of King Tawhiao the dream of Princess Te Puea Herangi and legacy of the late Dame Te Arikinui Te Atairangikaahu to reclaim the health and wellbeing of the Tainui people Today Raukura Hauora O Tainui continues to pursue this goal under the leadership of our King Te Arikinui Tuheitia Paki delivering health services to Tamaki and Waikato regions Across both regions the organization employs 176 staff delivering primary care mental health alcohol and other drug services public health services dental services and whanau ora services Areas of responsibility for this role include To provide Whanau based holistic health education and promotion services To encourage health awareness and wider health service utilisation by members of the community To provide a community based health service which coordinates the assessment and referral requirements of clients Improve community access to primary medical and community health facilities through effective education and promotion activities and by providing transport assistance where necessary Whanau support and advocacy services through the provision of a community based assessment coordination and referral service Health education to individuals as appropriate to the needs of that individual Develop and record linkages with other health providers and to ensure that where necessary a client is properly referred to the appropriate health professional Will increase community awareness of personal health and wellbeing through an organised programme of health education to targeted groups within the community Programme delivery will require the development of a series of Health Education and Promotion Modules covering each of the targeted health topics To apply you will require At least 23 years previous experience in mental health alcohol and drug support work or a similar role Full Drivers Licence Certificate in Mental Health or Maori Health Level 4 preferred Team player and passionate about working with people Have excellent written and oral communication skills High level of computer literacy with Microsoft Office Have accurate and descriptive database entry Efficient and good time management skills Culturally competent in Te Ao Maori Maori worldview The successful candidate will undergo a mandatory Police Vetting Dont miss out on this great opportunity Apply now Applications close 20 April 2020 Please include a cover letter saying why you would be the perfect fit and attach a copy of your recent CV Only applicants with the legal right to work in New Zealand should apply for this role
