Part Time Job Opportunity - Waikanae

Want to work with a friendly team? No nights, no Sundays, no Public Holidays? LOVE to keep busy?

We have one of our team members going overseas soon, so we have some gaps on our roster coming up that you might just be perfect to fill!

Be warned though - Joe & Joy gets super busy! If you enjoy a quiet stand around waiting for customers type job, this is not the job for you :D If you are energetic, customer focussed and love to keep busy, you may just be the perfect person to join our team.

There's always something to do at Joe & Joy , we all work hard, and the day is fast paced, but we make sure everyone gets their breaks, and the bonus is that the day goes super fast!

We have some flexibility with days of work, and we can combine two part time people if needed, but you will need to be available for at least 3 full days rostered between Monday and Saturday. (Saturday will definitely be one of your main days of work every week). You'll assist in the cafe serving customers, making hot and cold drinks, clearing tables, restocking cabinets, taking orders, keeping the cafe clean and tidy, chatting with customers, running meals - generally looking after customers and the cafe with a smile on your face:) We all share loads of dishes, cleaning, clearing and keeping up with food safety requirements and records.

It would be be a bonus if you are also able to, or are happy to be trained to assist the short order cook when needed and eventually be able to cook meals when the main cook is on a break, or we are short staffed in the kitchen. Full training will be given.

Shifts and hours available may vary depending on the applicants experience and skill level, so this will be discussed during the interview process.

We don't have any positions for completely new to hospo applicants at this time unfortunately, as we are already training some awesome young people, but we'd love to hear from anyone with a background in cafe and or bakery work. We are also full in our junior college student roles, so please only apply if you can work full days during term time.
