Iventory Accountant

Our large technology client is looking for an Inventory Accountant to work alongside a team of TransTasman Accountants and Assistant Accountants to manage inventory accounting across the Group The Inventory Accountant will be responsible for performing inventory analysis maintaining financial reports records and general ledgers The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with all inventory accounting preparation of recurring and nonrecurring accruals inventory reserve application of processing and repair costs performing related account reconciliations and managing stock take processes Responsibilities include Generating general ledger adjustments to record any necessary cost adjustmentsDesign and implement regular reports to support the analysis and review of inventory discrepancies or variances Monitors write off activity and initiates actions to reduce write offs and improve efficiencies Performs monthly reconciliations of all inventory accounts and other costs related to inventory i e freight Oversees all physical inventories and cycle count activities including the scheduling review and monthly reconciliation to the general ledgerParticipates in the creation of the annual operating budgetAssisting in the improvement in internal controls related to inventorySpecial projects as required This role will also play a critical role in the design and implementation of fit for purpose inventory processes playing a key role in Kaizen groupwide ERP implementation This is an opportunity to work in a large finance team with the option to work in other parts of the larger finance team over time If you are interested in being considered for this role please apply now or call Kiri Brooks on 021 437 436 to discuss this opportunity
