We are seeking a talented and passionateInformation Services (IS) Technicianto join our friendly and collaborative team in New Zealand reporting to our Information Services Manager.
In this role, some of your responsibilities will include:
Completing assigned tasks via our ticketing system, IS Manager and other sources to meet or exceed service level requirements
Effectively diagnosing and resolving client issues to minimise reocurrence
Maintain professional, friendly and helpful interactions with clients at all times
Accurately updating and/or logging all tasks/client requests in the ticketing system whilst documenting solutions against all IT tickets
Effectively prioritising tasks to ensure service levels/deadlines are met
Providing updates to the IS Manager on job status, IT risk and other relevant information
Escalation and communication of incidents to other relevant internal IS staff members
Working collaboratively and building productive and supportive relationships with other IS teams in your office/region
Maintaining integrity and governance by adhering to standard service desk procedures and IS security protocols
Taking opportunities to educate and coach clients to increase their technical skills and encourage self-service
Continually build your knowledge of GHD’s business and technologies and keep up to date on industry trends and technologies
What you will bring to the team
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a helpdesk/desktop support role or similar
Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field is desirable
You will be a strong team player, with a desire to learn, have resilience and be proactive
You will possess a sound technical knowledge of operating systems, key hardware and software applications. Additionally, a knowledge of Active Directory, User and Computers and Security Groups is desirable. Industry certification is also desirable (ie MSCE)
Some exposure to network cabling and TCP/IP networks will also be a requirement of this position
You will also have excellent client service/communication skills together with good IT problem solving skills
Flexibility with work hours and travelling to other locations (a car licence is essential for this role)
You will also need to be able to work outside working hours on special projects and be able to work in other locations when required.
