Provide Investment Planning leadership and lead ICT investment governance within Transpower
Deliver Investment cases, and oversee ICT components of regulatory submissions

Our Strategy and Architecture team develops and manages ICT strategy and defines roadmaps for acquisition or development of IST services (applications, infrastructure & network) that will deliver the required ICT capabilities to achieve Transpower's strategic objectives through a process of organisation wide collaboration and consultation.
The Strategy and Architecture team enables the rest of IST by setting direction through policy, standards, strategy and reference architectures.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the ICT Strategy Manager, the Investment Planning Manager provides Investment Planning leadership through the delivery of Investment cases, managing investment governance and preparation of ICT content to regulatory submissions.
You'll be accountable for coordinating the delivery of initiative briefs, initiative substitutions, and supporting the General Manager Information Services and Technology (IST) in articulating investment roadmaps and plans while working closely with our IST Senior Leadership Team and Enterprise Portfolio Management Office (EPMO) to produce those.
You'll own, implement and operate the ICT Investment Management Framework including supporting artefacts that enable efficient and focused decision making and
Ensure that each of our ICT investment categories is driven from strategy or policy, and has a roadmap and investment case
Establish and run the appropriate governance to ensure that we have visibility and record of investment planning decisions, including funding re-prioritisation and changes.
Work with IST Delivery Services, EPMO and Finance to determine the IST annual plan & budget.
Develop and maintain the initiative substitution process, providing a method of both governance and auditability of any changes.
Deliver the ICT component of regulatory submissions
To be considered, you'll hold a relevant tertiary qualification and your CV and cover letter will demonstrate
Experience in collaborating with senior leaders in an ICT leadership capacity.
5+ year experience working in an ICT aligned financial planning and/or delivery role with significant financial delegation (e.g. Programme/Portfolio Manager, Investment Manager, Vendor Manager, PMO Manager).
Well-developed communication, influencing and presentation skills at all levels.
Demonstrable ability to identify and quantify commercial and financial benefits/value
Proven accounting and financial skills including preparing financial recommendations or options for a wide variety of stakeholders for approval
While not essential, a general understanding of the nature and design of the electricity industry's core business processes would be advantageous.
