Investment Management Analyst

Description: We are seeking a talented individual to join our Investment Management team at Mercer.
This role will be based in either our Auckland or Wellington office.
This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.As an Investment Management Analyst, you will play a crucial role in managing NZ$16.5 billion for New Zealand investors, working closely with a dedicated team of investment professionals in New Zealand, Australia and Globally.
You will assist in identifying essential market data, collate and preparing information and figures, analysis, and communication with clients or others, as required.We will count on you to:Conduct portfolio analysis, including asset allocation, risk data, manager selection, and dynamic asset allocation.Prepare and deliver client reporting, including monthly/quarterly reports, factsheets, and tailored reports for delegated solutions and advice clients.Write market updates and keep clients and the NZ business informed of major developments.Manage client and fund operations, including client take-ons, transactions, and the provision of information to and from managers and custodians.Oversee the management of data and documents related to markets, clients, funds, and other financial information.Handle ad hoc projects and enquiries related to Mercer funds, sales, investment managers, third parties, and other Mercer business lines.What you need to have:Degree qualification in Commerce, Finance, Mathematics, or Statistics.CFA Professional qualification, Investment Management Certificate, or other finance-related post-graduate qualification desirable.Awareness and understanding of financial markets and a strong interest in Investing.Superior analytical skills and proficiency in a range of IT tools and use of intellectual capital.Capacity to prioritise and manage multiple tasks in a demanding work environment with tight deadlines.Excellent accuracy, interpersonal, and written communication skills.What makes you stand out:Demonstrated initiative by using technical knowledge to improve processes and by sharing ideas with colleagues.Experience working in a global financial services environment.Strong understanding of investment strategies and portfolio management.Why join our team:We help you be your best through professional development opportunities, interesting work, and supportive leaders.We foster a vibrant and inclusive culture where you can work with talented colleagues to create new solutions and have an impact for colleagues, clients, and communities.Our scale enables us to provide a range of career opportunities, as well as benefits and rewards to enhance your well-being.About Mercer:Mercer, a business of Marsh McLennan (NYSE: MMC), is a global leader in helping clients realize their investment objectives, shape the future of work and enhance health and retirement outcomes for their people.
