This coupled with our localised inventory is crucial to maintaining our impressive order fill rate resulting in customer and staff satisfaction.An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Inventory & Purchasing Manager , with technical aptitude and transport sector or heavy repair sector experience.Christchurch based and reporting to the Managing Director, NZ, our ideal candidate will be results driven, self-motivated and have demonstrable experience in achieving best practice inventory control and accuracy across both original equipment and aftermarket parts.Responsibilities include:Negotiating supplier price, terms, quality, availability, and delivery requirements;Build / nurture relationships with suppliers and vendors, fostering open communication and collaboration to address any issues or concerns and optimise supply chain efficiency;Oversee the procurement process from purchasing to delivery, ensuring timely acquisition of parts and supplies to support the overall business;Managing stocktakes in line with Company policies;Managing and mentoring warehouse teams;Completing cycle counts as per the count schedule;Investigating and reconciling any stock variances;Provide feedback, training and guidance on inventory matters;Managing returns with suppliers;Proactively run the site's Health & Safety activities;Contribute to a safe, clean and efficient work environment.Necessary attributes include:Experience in a similar role with an excellent understanding of inventory control best practice;Actively promotes a safe warehouse culturePride in maintaining a tidy and orderly work environmentPunctual and reliable with a great attitude;Analytical and methodical;A strong desire to achieve world class inventory control;Champions a culture of excellence and accountability;We offer a commensurate salary package inclusive of vehicle, phone and a company laptop.CTS is an equal opportunity employer and we encourage applications from people of all ages, nationalities and cultures.CTS is a drug free workplace.
