­­We currently have an exciting opportunity to join our Supply Chain team on a Full-Time, Permanent basis as an Inventory Controller, based at our Wiri site.

The hours available to conduct cycle counting in this role would see the successful candidate working 6:30am-3:00pm.

Reporting to the Inventory Manager, this role will see you working as part of a team of 3 (2 Inventory Controllers and 1 Inventory Systems Reconciliator) to manage the raw materials and finished goods across both our Wiri Distribution Centre and our off-site storage facility. You will be responsible for maintaining full compliance of the monthly cycle counts, annual wall-to-wall stocktakes and inventory variance analysis and reporting.

The key challenges that the successful candidate will likely face in this role will be influencing, persuading and delegating work to people outside of your direct control, improving the stock variances, dealing with ambiguity and managing change.

Only people with the legal right to work in New Zealand will be considered.

Key Accountabilities:

- Manage periodic and ongoing cycle count programs to an accuracy of 99.5% to identify losses and potential issues; investigating, posting and reconciling variances and consolidating all supporting documentation for Wiri Distribution Centre and offsite storage facility. This will include processing the damaged and re-work stock.
- Coordination of all aspects of Raw Materials and Finished Goods’ stock rotation and ageing stock, engaging with Sales, Planning and Product Supply, Finance, Distribution and Warehouse leadership.
- Coordinate the allocation of stock to the Staff Shop.
- Provide database analysis, assessment and troubleshooting of warehouse errors, aged stock, damaged stock and stock adjustments to drive effective control management through SAP, WMS and Team members. This will include analysis and troubleshooting of SAP interim locations, system material set up and pick face and bulk storage set up.
- Run weekly and monthly reports for submission to the Inventory Manager, providing commentary on line items that exceed set thresholds.

Qualifications/Requirements
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
- Experience with stock counting, variance analysis and reconciliation as well as data analysis and report creation are essential. Ideally you will be somebody who is great with numbers, who can rationalise and improve existing processes as well as manage ongoing projects.
- Working knowledge and use of SAP – Inventory Management as well as Microsoft Office Suite is essential.
- Hands-on experience in operating/driving Stock Picker/Man Up and Forklifts is essential (Stock Picker experience seen as highly advantageous), ideally within an FMCG or Logistics/Distribution industry.
- Excellent time management skills to meet demanding deadlines as well as strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- A positive attitude and good work ethic teamed with a laser focus on Health and Safety within the workplace in order to get the job done right the first time.
