Inventory Controller

bbiWood Products Ltd (BBI) is a locally owned & operated company specialising in the importing, processing and distribution of plywood and hardwood decking. With staff in Hastings, Auckland and Christchurch, BBI distributes nationwide predominantly through building supply merchants.
We are looking to appoint an Inventory Controller with an eye for detail to join the team in Hastings. You will be responsible for inventory management & control of stock for the business including:
Purchasing
Importing
Cycle counting
Exception reporting
Inventory sharing
Managing aged, slow moving and overstocked inventory
Producing reports

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
Strong administrative and organisational skills
Relevant inventory control experience
Strong numeric and analytical skills
An emphasis on problem solving
Methodical and accurate approach
Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
Knowledge of the industry
High level of computer skills

Remuneration will be competitive and reflect the skills and experience of the preferred candidate.
This role may initially suit someone who is seeking a permanent position with flexible hours i.e. 9am 3pm Monday to Friday, but could easily progress to longer hours.
