The opportunity
Based in West Auckland, this company has been providing quality and innovative new products for over 40 years. Due to the current Inventory Controller retiring after many years with the company, there is now an opportunity to not only be both in the office and out in the plant itself but be part of a focused, engaged team of great people who are at your disposal for initial training and future development.
The role
Reporting to the Planning and Logistics Manager, you will take on the responsibility of accurately managing the Inventory Control process from external goods receipt to regular cycle counting.
Key duties will include:
Manage the Inventory Control process from time of receipt of raw material through to receipted of production finished goods .
Daily transfer of completed stock from Production to Finished Goods
Conduct regular scheduled stock takes
Ensure stock variances are investigated and Inventory is adjusted to maintain accuracy
Mange stock returns in a timely manner
Provide support to Warehouse Team in times of absence or high workload.

Key Attributes and Experience
This is a hands on role where your time will be split between the office and warehouse floor. This is not solely an office based position so if you enjoy a bit of physical work during your day, this role will suit you well.
To be successful in this role you will have the following:
Demonstrated experience in Warehousing/Logistics
Intermediate to advanced computer skills including Excel
Effective communication at all levels
High level of attention to detail and ability to work through stock variances
Basic Knowledge of transport loading and unloading practices (would be advantageous)
Focus on Health and Safety
Experience with ERP systems
Forklift licence (would be advantageous)
