As a unique Kiwi and Pacific insurance provider with over 150 years of history, our roots trace back to Dunedin.What you will be doingAs the Internal Auditor, you will work closely with teams across the organisation as we share in this exciting digital transformation story, building relationships across the business and working with key stakeholders to ensure the changes are aligned with Tower's customer-centred assurance and risk strategy.As part of your role, you'll have your finger on the pulse and be adept at influencing and engaging the business in well-informed decision-making.
You'll be passionate about the role of the general insurance industry in our community, and you will have the ability to work with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.Dive into the Heart of Your Responsibilities:Internal Audit: Maintaining an internal audit framework, including contributing to audit strategy, methodology and annual plan.
You will work with the Internal Audit Team to complete assessments and audits in New Zealand and the Pacific.Assurance: With the mandate to support Tower's strategic objectives including driving beautifully simple and rewarding customer experiences, you will assist with planning, executing, management and delivery of assurance activities to meet all annual plans and scope of assurance areas.Reporting: Assist with reporting to Tower Senior Management and the Tower Audit Committee; including the provision of control assurance, audit reports and summary reporting.Stakeholder Management: Advising and supporting the business on BAU activities and projects and working with key external vendors such as specialist internal audit service providers.Continuous Improvement: Advising on all organisational systems which may give rise to error, fraudulent activity or inefficiencies, identification of improvements, and provision of fit for purpose recommendations.What You'll NeedTo be successful in this role, you will also demonstrate the following:A background in internal audit with at least two years' experience preferred.Good knowledge of organisations operating activities, financial systems, controls and data-based audit techniques, and a level of information technology expertise.Excellent written and oral communication, including analytical ability and report writing skills.Appropriate industry qualification (CA/CPA/CIA) preferred.Our CommitmentWe pride ourselves on encouraging everyone to bring their whole selves to work, embracing diverse opinions, experiences, and backgrounds.
