Full time insulation installers required.
We currently need 2 or more full-time employees to meet demand. I know what it's like being a student, so I am fairly flexible on work hours and days - weekdays or weekends etc.
The demand for insulation is currently pushed by the Governments mandatory insulation in rental properties. The deadline for landlords is July 1st 2019 so we anticipate demand will dry up in either July or August. The employment contract will be until July 1st but extendable if demand stays where it is, you would know by June if this is the case.
The role has an ASAP start date.
The hours per week will vary relative to demand, but you will be paid $18 per hour while being trained.
One of our current installers has been working for about 2 months and is already making $1000 for roughly 40 hours work, so it's pretty well-paid.
Once you are up-to-speed, you will be paid a piece rate instead of an hourly rate i.e. The more insulation you install (to the relevant standard), the more you get paid. 40 hours per fortnight (20 hours per week) could even be all done in one week with the next week off if it suited.
These roles involve traveling to the West Coast for up to 4 nights at a time. During these trips your driving time, food and accommodation is all paid for. We do have work in Canterbury too, but the West Coast tends to take up more of our time.
While we work hard to get the set job finished - after work there is heaps to do like hunting, gold panning, fishing or getting your study done back at the accommodation. To be absolutely clear we value attitude, honesty, trust and hard work above all else. If you have no experience installing insulation that's fine, give us a call anyway!
The job entails: Installing ceiling and under-floor insulation into existing homes Being paid well - because we know its hard, dirty work (the pay is per m2 installed so the harder you work, the more you get paid) Some houses will require black plastic to be installed on the ground Paid travel to the West Coast for up to 4 nights in a row Some work in Canterbury as well, this varies due to demand The following attributes are musts: Pass a drug test before commencement of work Pass a police check before commencement of work Honesty, honesty, honesty Reliable and trustworthy Safety conscious Fit and healthy enough to crawl in cold, damp under-floors and hot, cramped ceilings Willing and able to travel for 4 nights minimum per month Provide 2 or more references, INCLUDING your most recent job/s The following attributes are preferable: Full drivers license Willing and able to travel Site Safe passport First Aid certificate Experience in retrofitting insulation Any experience in the construction industry
