About the Role
As Infrastructure Engineer within our Technology & Services team, you will be responsible for supporting the stable operation of the SDHB's secure and highly available computing platforms. This is your chance to use your technical expertise and know-how to make a real and meaningful difference to the health of our region.
The main responsibilities of your role will be (but are not limited to):
Managing and maintaining storage, virtualized environment, servers, network devices, telephony and various IT infrastructure systems
Proactively identify any performance issues
Working with various vendors and service providers to ensure a productive environment
Support and maintain the infrastructure, servers and network of rural hospitals and SDHB sites
About You
This is a technical role and you'll need to be confident and capable in order to succeed; after all, some of our IT systems are literally life savers.
You'll need to bring the following skills and experience:
Bachelors degree in an IT discipline; Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer; Cisco Certified Network Administrator (CCNA) and Citrix Certified Administrator (CCA)
A wealth of experience in the IT infrastructure field; ideally 10+ years
Expert technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols and standards
Experience of managing infrastructure in outsourced environments
Strong virtualization experience using Hyper-V, VM Ware, Citrix Xen App and NetScaler
Solid knowledge of Microsoft Infrastructure technologies such as Active Directory, Windows Server, Exchange Server, Systems Centre
