We are currently looking to hire an ICT Systems Engineer to provide expertise and specialist skills to support and administer all internal ICT platforms. You have an internal drive to success, learn more, grow within a company and enjoy continuous learning to keep your arrow sharp. Possess proven experience with backlog management, internal ticketing systems, hardware & software related workstation support, and cloud based business applications. Your clients are internal staff, based globally.

Gentrack is a 500 person, growing business, listed in the public markets of New Zealand and Australia. The main people centers are in London, Auckland, Melbourne and Pune.
In this role you can expect to :
Ongoing maintenance and troubleshooting of the internal desktop infrastructure, including licensing compliance
Ongoing improvement of desktop infrastructure management tools including ability to script deployment of applications or/and settings to workstations
Escalation point for support, including training and producing KB and documentation for them to follow
Ongoing improvement of all cloud applications, servers, and its management tools
Manage security, backup and monitor system status and reporting
Patching and anti-virus software management
Monitoring and management of Backups
Response and resolution of support tickets – Manage SLA and escalate when required
Investigating and resolving support problems - Networking, system hardware, software and related infrastructure support
Decommissioning / commissioning of hardware
Performing a range of tasks through all phases of designated ICT projects
Keeping up to date with Cybersecurity issues – Must have security in mind for anything that is implemented
Some on-call support, as required
What you need to be successful :
Demonstrated experience in a similar role for a minimum of 3+ years
O/S scripting skills - Automate and schedule O/S level operations using bash scripts, PowerShell and/or similar languages
Installing and compiling software packages on multiple platforms
TCP/IP networks including routers, switches, gateways and firewalls
O/S and domain security concepts
Best practices related to information security, networking and system management
Windows, Active Directory and Office365/Azure
Experience within Linux and Virtualized environments
Exposure to the provisioning of and supporting Cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure
