ABOUT THE ROLE
Ventia is engaged by Auckland Council to carry out all their FM related works across hundreds of their buildings and facilities around the North Shore, Central Auckland, and part of East Auckland.
The HVAC/Refrigeration technician’s priority is the safe execution of reactive and planned preventative maintenance works to minimise risk and disruptions to the delivery of essential services.
You will be responsible for:
Undertaking all planned preventative maintenance work in accordance with the maintenance schedule, achieving KPI’s every month
Prioritising reactive and breakdown maintenance tasks
Performing refrigeration work and mechanical services, including the performance of peripheral and incidental tasks
Completing relevant work management dockets, work feedback, inventory and general maintenance reports
Making recommendations aimed at extending equipment life
Ensuring the safety of your team, as well as the security of plant, equipment and tools
This is an exciting role that offer lots of variety as we work across a diverse portfolio – from Community centres, libraries, administration buildings, swimming pools, etc.
There is also a degree of flexibility as many of the buildings we service operate quite early and you have the option to adjust your time accordingly.
You will mostly be working independently but from time to time may get sent to two-person jobs.
ABOUT YOU
As a professional and experienced HVAC Technician, your expertise will ideally lie within a commercial HVAC service and maintenance area, particularly within Facilities Management.
Further to this, you will have:
A minimum NZ Level 4 HVAC/Refrigeration qualification
Minimum 3 years in a similar role
Demonstrated knowledge of, and experience with installation and maintenance of heating, air conditioning and mechanical ventilation systems
A good understanding of New Zealand mechanical services standards
