About the Role
We are looking for an accomplished HR Information Systems Advisor to join our busy Payroll Support team. You will have the opportunity to provide Business as Usual payroll support to over 13,000 Ministry staff to ensure that the fortnightly payroll is timely and accurate.
You will be working with the team to keep the Ministry's payroll system CHRIS21 current, compliant and accurate. A key focus will be to help execute the fortnightly payroll and reconcile the inputs and outputs.
A typical fortnight may involve:
Executing the fortnightly pay.
Providing desk banking and IR filing services.
Reconciling pay related data that integrates into CHRIS21 from a front-end HRIS System.
General maintenance of data/data tables following updates to employment terms and conditions.
Answering payroll support queries from Managers and/or HR Staff and external parties.
Testing of pay related data changes following software upgrades.

Skills and Experience
This role will suit someone who has a passion for Payroll and HRIS systems. Previous Payroll experience is required. You will be comfortable with repeating daily, weekly and fortnightly tasks and with ad hoc project involvement as it may arise.
Our ideal candidate will offer:
Two years minimum previous Payroll experience.
Exposure with in-house HRIS systems and used to working with data.
Advanced Excel skills.
Experience with system related trouble-shooting and problem resolution.
Sound knowledge of employment legislation and best practice.
An accomplished communicator who understands the value of building and maintaining strong relationships.

Remuneration range for this role is from $57,144 to $85,716. Application along this salary scale is dependent on relevant work experience and evidenced skills.
