We are lookingfor an experienced and skilled person that can positively influence, manage,and tailor their communication across a diverse range of team members. This isa hands-on, face to face HR / Compliance role dealing directly with staff,customers and issues as they arise quickly, professionally and with care in acustomer-centric environment. It includes and is not limited to; Ensure appropriate procedures for recruiting staff is followedutilising reference checking, succession planning, advertising strategiesand meeting all legislative requirements. Induction, onboarding, training, and development Lead and support the Performance Management Program within thestore ensuring that Department Managers complete appraisals within agreedtimeframes. Support ongoing performance management through assisting andadvising Department Managers in regard to conflict resolution and disciplinarymatters. Ensure all Health & safety and Food safety procedures andsystems within the store that they are appropriately maintained at a levelwhich ensures compliance in all audits. Prepare for and take part in internal (Foodstuffs) and externalFood Safety/Health & Safety audits, ensuring satisfactory outcomes. Process applications for General Manager, First Aid and ForkliftProficiency Certificates. Ensure all machinery and equipment is compliant e.g. scalescertification / forklift maintenance. Undertake hazard reviews and investigate serious accidents. Followup reports of H&S hazards in the store. Collect and collate accidentforms. Manage monthly committee meeting process for H&S. Food Safety Over seeing and ensuring all Food Safety records andprocesses meet the requirements of our Food Control Plan. Wherediscrepancies occur, you are responsible for undertaking the appropriateCorrective Actions which may include retraining of Department Managers andTeam Members. Carrying out internal department and store audits. Health & Safety- Investigating accidents, undertaking hazardreviews and working with the Health & Safety Working Group andManagement Team to continually develop a 'Safety' culture. About You: You're a passionate people focused individual who can make astrong, positive, personal impression on others. Facilitates discussions toensure all ideas are heard and to influence outcomes and actions, managesconflict openly, fairly, and quickly. Preferred Qualities Formal Training / Degree inHuman Resources Previous HR experience Adaptive and Versatile Health & Safety systemsknowledge and experience Strong understanding ofemployment laws and regulations. Ability to maintainconfidentiality and handle sensitive information. Desired Qualities Retail/food industry experience Standard Hours; Monday – Friday. As a 7 day a week business some weekend work and/orcontact will be required.
